FYI — CREDO responds to the latest attack on immigrants by the Trump administration with the new public charge rule announcement this morning. Over 40,000 CREDO Action members were among those who submitted over 210,000 public comments to the DHS opposing this rule when it was first proposed in 2018.
“To Donald Trump and Stephen Miller, the cruelty of this new rule is the point,” said CREDO Action campaigns director Nicole Regalado. “It’s a blatant attempt by the Trump regime to force black and brown immigrants into the shadows while making citizenship a privilege reserved for wealthy, white immigrants. Meanwhile, it instills more fear in our communities and will prevent many from accessing vital services necessary to live, like healthcare, food, and housing.”
CREDO Action, part of CREDO Mobile, is a social change network of millions of activists, sending tens of millions of petition signatures and hundreds of thousands of phone calls to decision-makers each year. CREDO Action members also participate in meetings, protests and other direct action for progressive change.
